Highlights: Montreal gets its first taste of pennant fever as the Expos challenge for first place in a weak Eastern Division. It would come down to the last week, 4th place sounds poor so close, but it came down to the last week of the season.  Finishing three and a half games back in fourth Place with a 79-83 record.

June 5, 1973  Warren Cromartie was drafted by the Expos in the 1st round (5th pick) of the Secondary Phase.
